Google Helpouts is essentially a tutoring and remote help service based on Google Hangouts audio/video communications platform. Helpouts only recently was launched but there are 1000s of individuals who’ve setup shop already and are offering their advice in all sorts of areas (cooking, language learning, tech support, etc.).

After a quick search I was impressed to see some Moodle help already being offered. Check it out:

Two Moodlers are offering assistance:

  1. Moodleman, Julian Ridden is offering free help in getting acquainted with Moodle, “Are you starting out with Moodle and finding it daunting? Looking for a helping had to help you get started? Then this course is for you.” Request a time.
  2. Glenn Gibson is offering Moodle set-up help, he’s a 6 year Moodle admin, “Setting up a Moodle space for your classroom?  Having difficulty getting started, or want to learn something new?  Give me a shout and I will help …” Glenn’s assistance is available for under $20 per hour.

If you’re new to Moodle and/or looking for a way to give some inexpensive training to one or a few individuals either might be a solid choice.
