Moodle – the most popular LMS continues to dominate the European LMS market share with 64% market share. In the recent “European LMS Market Dynamics report” released by e-literate with ListEdTech, Moodle emerges out as the Market leader.
The report based on the survey from more than 1600 higher education institutes throughout Europe, provides the insights into the LMS market share. Moodle dominated the European LMS market with 64% share which is 5 times more than the second best Blackboard Learn which is limited to just 12%.
LMS distribution across countries:
Moodle also tops the LMS distribution across many countries like Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and United kingdom. However, the distribution across countries is not uniform for Moodle. Similarly, Blackboard Learn dominates the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and UK markets.
