Moodle 3.1 will get a major overhaul in the assignment grading use interface to speed up the grading experience and reduce the page loading time. The prototype of the new Assignment grading interface is ready for testing here and you can share your feedback about the new interface and help in improving the prototype.
The new assignment grading user experience specifications are mentioned here and the main changes include features like responsive design which makes it possible to use this form through different devices like desktop, tablet, laptop etc. & flexible layout, Marking form and annotation form.
New Assignment Grading UX prototype is ready
The annotation form is loaded with all the annotating tools like syntax highlighter, text feedback, stamps etc. However currently the assignment form is not having any link to go back to the Moodle interface and doesn’t support rubrics and marking guides.
You can also test out the prototype of the new assignment grading UX on and participate in this forum thread to post your comments about the new improvement.
I am eagerly waiting for final design of the new assignment grading interface which is planned to be released in Moodle 3.1 which is going to be the upcoming LTS version of Moodle after 2.7.
