Autosaving draft text in the text editor is something that I cherish as a blogger. You never know when you’ll have drafted the perfect post and poof, power or internet goes out or Chrome crashes. Luckily WordPress has offered this feature for a while. Moodle is just about to join the autosave club.
I’ve been following a tracker issues (MDL-18014) which is now closed as fix. The feature will autosave user (student and teacher) writing within the text editor to ensure that their efforts are lost. A few highlights:
- visual notification of the save
- text notification of the recovery
- ability to cancel recovery
The first screenshot made its way to Twitter last night via Michael de Raadt. This is definitely a feature to look forward to.
