If you’re a user of the Grid Format maintained by Gareth Barnard the newest release is available for Moodle 2.9 for testing and QA only, not for production.
If you’re not familiar with it, this novel format provides users a different view of a Moodle course by providing a matrix of images (in a grid) which represent each of the course’s topic areas. Clicking on each will open it within the same window as a modal (no page refresh required).
The “release candidate” available to test is available from this link https://moodle.org/plugins/pluginversion.php?id=8532
Non-release candidate for Moodle sites not running 2.9 are available here: https://moodle.org/plugins/view/format_grid
A handy demonstration video for the course format is embedded below [direct video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ducd-c-CwO0]

Thanks Joseph 🙂
This version is a ‘release candidate’ so not quite stable yet. Just noticed this morning that I need to add a tad more code for the new ‘delete section’ functionality in core.
Cheers,
Gareth
