Moodle 3.2 – the next beast to be unleashed by Moodle HQ with all the state of the art features, is all set to be released in next 4 weeks. Moodle HQ team has organized the Quality Assurance test cycle (QA Testing) for Moodle 3.2, which has already started since yesterday.

This time the QA testing cycle is more vital as the new Moodle 3.2 version consists of many new and innovative features like – New look and feel through Bootstrap 4 : Boost Theme, New messaging and UX interface, Improvements to LTI and many more.

Why QA testing is carried out before release?

The Quality Assurance testing is carried out to have a look on the new features and fixed issues from a user’s point of view. Real Moodle users like you and me tests all the new features to ascertain any bugs.

How can I take part in QA testing?

The QA cycle for Moodle 3.2 contains a total of 531 issues out of which more than 47 are already marked as “Passed” whereas still a lot of other issues are remaining for testing. If you would like to test the new features of Moodle 3.2 and contribute your efforts in making it 100% QA compliant release – then you can send a message to Rajesh Taneja,  to add you to the testers group in the Moodle Tracker.

What I will get by contributing to the QA test cycle?

Moodle is among few of the open source projects which are having a great community involved in all aspects of its development from addition of new features to testing and fixing the bugs. By participating in QA testing, you will become a part of this ongoing Moodle journey and help in improving the Moodle project. You will also earn a badge from Moodle and you will be credited for the participation in each QA cycle pages.
