Helen Foster recently announced Moodle’s Google Summer of Code Class of 2016 over in the forums. We are excited for the four students that have been selected and wish them luck over the next few months as the work to complete their projects. Here’s what they will be focusing on:

  • Alexandru Elisei – will be working on a guide for creating Moodle plugins.
  • Devang Gaur – will focus on how to add a search functionality to more Moodle components.
  • Joey Andres will be developing functionality that will allow the resizing, cropping and rotating of images in Atto.
  • Supun Wanniarachchi will be working on how to support end-to-end testing Moodle Mobile.

We are particularly excited about the Atto image editor, but all of these projects are exciting and will add value to the Moodle universe. If you’d like to follow along on their progress, check out the 2016 GSoC page here.
