CLAMP has released the first Beta version of the LAE for the Moodle 3.1 branch. The release is based on the extensive testing done during the recently concluded Hack/Doc fest which was held from June 21-23, 2016 at Butler University.
CLAMP has made two major changes to the Liberal Arts Edition for this release:

  • Moodle HQ has major significant improvements to the Course Meta Link enrollment interface. It has removed its own version and is pleased to recommend the core solution.
  • CLAMP has removed the ability to choose whether or not to restore legacy course files when restoring a course backup. Such files will now always be restored.

The stable release based on Moodle 3.1 will be coming in Mid-July, may be next week. The current release was developed, packaged, and tested by Joe Bacal (Smith College), Charles Fulton (Lafayette College), and Kevin Wiliarty (Hampshire College).
CLAMP has also recommended the use of Moodle 3.0 and Moodle 3.1 for academic year 2016-2017. Check out the complete recommendations for Moodle 3.0 and Moodle 3.1 here.
