it is not the image, but the black background-color of the text I wanted to remove. By accident I found a solution. With h1-formatting it disappeared. Thanks for your quick answer. I like your theme 🙂

I had tested the Academi theme and can’t find a direct way to remove the background image but however as a workaround you can create an image of white background with size 1400 px X 418 px and upload it into the Slide Image area.
Another workaround possible may be to delete the default slide images in the Your_Moodle_sitethemeacademipixhome directory which I was not able to test. Please make sure to keep a backup of your site and images before proceeding.
