Both Moodle.org Community Manager Helen Foster and UX and visual designer Alberto Corado are inviting you to join, and tell people you think may be interested, the upcoming Moodle Usability Testing Round for the User Experience of Moodle 3.2.

Learning from users is becoming a unanimous stepping stone in every UX development operation. And Moodle’s latest initiatives show the willingness to stay ahead of the curve. This will be further consolidated as UX becomes a basic component of new releases as Moodle 3.2 is approaching. Corado’s thread is an invitation that gives us a profile of what the ideal tester should be and do.

Two types of activities will take place in the upcoming weeks: Usability Testing and Feedback.

Usability Testing.

As is commonly found in User Research sessions, a Moodle HQ UX team lead will moderate a session, 15 to 30 minutes long. Participants should be able to:
  • Participate in a Google Hangout session.
  • Share their screen and providing oral input through a connected microphone.
  • Consent to recording of screen video and voice audio by Moodle HQ.
If you can accept these conditions and are interested in participating, sign up by filling out this form.

Feedback on Moodle Use

It consists on a simple drag-and-drop activity. It should take you not longer that 10 minutes to complete. Upon activation it will take you to an interactive dashboard to submit polling information about your Moodle habits and priorities. You can do it at your own pace. The test will be available until October 27th.

Moodle HQ and the moodleverse will thank you for performing those test. Your opinion is sorely appreciated.
